Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of ShopRogersville.com. By using the site or submitting content, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. What ShopRogersville provides
ShopRogersville is a community directory and discovery marketplace for local products, vendors, experiences, and events. Unless a listing expressly says otherwise, ShopRogersville is not the seller, manufacturer, payment processor, delivery provider, event organizer, employer, agent, or representative of any vendor or organizer.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to submit products, manage vendor listings, or submit events. Vendor accounts use a verified email address and password through our authentication provider. You are responsible for activity associated with your sign-in, keeping your password and email account secure, and providing accurate account information. Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. Authentication services may also be governed by the provider’s terms.
3. Vendor and event submissions
You represent that information you submit is accurate, current, connected to Rogersville or Hawkins County as applicable, and that you have authority to submit it. You must update or request removal of information that becomes inaccurate. Submission does not guarantee approval, publication, placement, or continued availability.
We may review, verify, edit for formatting or clarity, request changes, reject, unpublish, or remove any submission at our reasonable discretion. Approval means only that a listing passed our editorial review; it is not certification, endorsement, inspection, or a guarantee of quality, safety, legality, availability, or truth.
4. Your content and permission to use it
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant ShopRogersville a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, crop, format, display, distribute, and promote that content as reasonably needed to operate and publicize ShopRogersville and its listings. This license ends after removal where practical, except for backups, legal records, and materials already shared with your permission.
You represent that you own or have all permissions needed for submitted text, photographs, names, logos, links, and other materials, and that our permitted use will not violate another person’s rights.
5. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not submit or use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, infringing, defamatory, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, unsafe, or misleading content; counterfeit or stolen goods; malware or harmful code; spam; unauthorized collection of personal information; interference with site security; impersonation; or products, services, or events prohibited by applicable law. You may not claim that ShopRogersville endorses or certifies you.
6. Transactions and vendor responsibility
Vendors are solely responsible for their products and services, including descriptions, prices, inventory, taxes, licenses, permits, product safety, accessibility, warranties, fulfillment, pickup, delivery, returns, refunds, and compliance with applicable law. Shoppers and vendors arrange and complete transactions directly with each other and assume the risks of those transactions.
7. Event information
Events may change or be canceled. Organizers are responsible for event legality, permits, safety, accessibility, admission terms, and accurate information. Visitors should confirm dates, times, locations, prices, and requirements directly with the organizer before attending.
8. Intellectual-property concerns
If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights, email shoprogersville@gmail.com with the page address, a description of the material, the basis for your claim, your contact information, and supporting documentation. We may remove content while reviewing a good-faith report.
9. Third-party links and services
The site may link to vendor websites, social networks, maps, ticketing services, or other third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, policies, products, or transactions. Your use of them is governed by their terms.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free information, or that listings, vendors, products, events, links, or users are reliable, safe, lawful, available, or suitable for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShopRogersville and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, personal injury, property damage, or losses arising from listings, transactions, events, third-party conduct, or use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid directly to ShopRogersville during the prior 12 months or $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, vendors, organizers, and other submitters agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ShopRogersville and its operator from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from their content, products, services, events, transactions, legal violations, or breach of these Terms.
13. Suspension, changes, and availability
We may suspend access, remove content, change features, or discontinue all or part of the service. We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version and date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction serving Hawkins County, Tennessee. Before filing a claim, you agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve it by contacting us.
15. General terms and contact
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement concerning the site and do not create an employment, partnership, agency, franchise, or joint-venture relationship.
