1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Vendor submissions: name, business or shop name, email address, optional phone number, optional website or social link, product category, product name, description, price information, and uploaded photographs.
• Business claims and listing updates: your name, relationship to the business, account email, optional contact number and explanation, the verification method and destination used, proposed listing information, operating hours, up to ten business photographs, an optional menu file, and menu text produced through optical character recognition or corrected by you. Verification codes are temporary and are not stored in readable form by ShopRogersville.
• Event submissions: event details, venue and address, organizer or contact name, email address, optional phone number, website or social link, and confirmation that the information is accurate.
• Public business contact information: business names, categories, email addresses, and related listing information gathered from public sources for directory accuracy and business outreach.
• Outreach preferences: email addresses and unsubscribe records needed to remove an address from future ShopRogersville outreach contact selections and honor that preference.
• Advertising and partnership inquiries: contact and organization details, areas of interest, preferred timing, optional budget information, and your message.
• Reports: your email, optional name, the page reported, type of concern, and supporting details.
• Communications: information contained in emails, correction requests, questions, or other messages you send us.

Account and technical information

Vendor account registration and sign-in are provided by Clerk. Clerk processes authentication information such as your email address, password credentials, verification status, account identifier, session information, and security data. ShopRogersville receives your verified email address and account identifier to connect you to your vendor records; ShopRogersville does not receive or store your plaintext password. Our hosting, security, email, and phone-verification providers may automatically process technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, request times, pages requested, cookies or similar session data, and diagnostic or security logs.

Customer service inquiries

When you request a quote, appointment, or business contact, your name, email, optional phone number, project details, location, timing, and any uploaded photos are shared privately with the business you selected. Its authorized owner can view and manage the request in their dashboard and contact you directly. We send transactional notifications and a receipt when email delivery is available. Inquiry details and project photos are not shown publicly. We use temporary hashed rate-limit identifiers and spam checks to prevent abuse. A request does not confirm a price or booking. Contact ShopRogersville to request deletion of an inquiry.

2. How we use information

We use information to receive and review submissions; verify local relevance and accuracy; publish approved products, vendor storefronts, and events; operate vendor and administrator accounts; send submission, approval, or service notices; contact businesses and organizers about their directory listings and ShopRogersville; honor email preferences; respond to questions and corrections; prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents; maintain and improve the site; and comply with legal obligations.

3. What becomes public

Approved listings may publicly display the business name, product or event information, prices, photographs, venue or address, and submitted website or social link. Vendor and organizer contact names, email addresses, and phone numbers are used for review and administration and are not intended to be displayed publicly unless you separately ask us to publish them. Do not submit private or sensitive information in descriptions or photographs.

4. How we share information

We may share information with service providers that support hosting, storage, authentication, security, database operations, email delivery, and phone verification; with professional advisers when reasonably necessary; or with authorities when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service. We may transfer information as part of a merger, sale, reorganization, or transfer of this project, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies or similar technologies may be used for sign-in, session continuity, security, and site operation. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If analytics or advertising practices are added, this policy and any legally required choices will be updated.

6. Data retention and security

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to review submissions, maintain listings and accounts, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. We retain a minimal email suppression record after an outreach opt-out so that the address stays excluded from future contact selections. You may request deletion as described below, although some records may be retained when legally required or reasonably necessary.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we maintain. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and requests

Outreach emails include an unsubscribe link. Using it removes that email address from future ShopRogersville outreach contact selections; it does not remove or change a public directory listing, vendor account, or event record, and it does not stop essential account or service messages. You may also ask to access, correct, remove, or delete your submission or personal information, or object to certain uses, by emailing shoprogersville@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when permitted or required by law. You may also use your vendor dashboard to review status and make changes when editing is available.

8. Children’s privacy

ShopRogersville is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. External sites and services

Vendor authentication is also subject to Clerk’s privacy practices. Listings and events may link to vendor, organizer, social-media, or other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be presented in a reasonable manner. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to shoprogersville@gmail.com.
